QUETTA, Sept 23: A house was attacked with a hand-grenade in the city’s Satellite Town on Sunday evening, causing panic in the area.

According to police sources, the assailants hurled the grenade into the house of Wapda sub-engineer Mumtaz.

It landed in the courtyard and damaged two vehicles.

Windowpanes of the house and nearby buildings were smashed. In another incident, some people fired rockets on a checkpost of the Frontier Corps in Kohlu area.

The FC men deployed at the post fired back towards the Jandran mountains from where the rockets had been fired.
