NOWSHERA: Two shot dead in attacks by rivals

NOWSHERA, Sept 23: Two people were killed and one person suffered injuries in two incidents here on Sunday, residents and police said.

Gul Saleem and his son, Akhtar Ali, were on their way home when their rivals attacked them near Akbarpuraa.

Akhtar Ali died on the spot, while Gul Saleem escaped unhurt.

The motive behind the attack was stated to be an old enmity.

Police registered a case on the report of Gul Saleem against four accused, Hassan Dar, Latif Khan, Yousaf Ali and Nawab Ali. However, no arrest was made.

In another incident, Salar and his brother Saeed Wali were attacked by their rivals when they were returning home from fields. Salar died on the spot while Saeed Wali received injuries.

Police have registered a case.
