Aisam to play in Mumbai’s ATP event

LAHORE, Sept 22: Pakistan’s ace tennis player Aisam-ul-Haq will appear in the singles and doubles events of the of ATP Mumbai championship beginning from Sept 24.

Based on his ATP ranking of 155, Aisam has entered the singles main draw and will be partnering with Rohan Bopanna of India for the doubles.

“Though my morale is high, I have not yet recovered fully from my shoulder injury during the US Open. But I will try to take one match at a time and see how it goes,” said Aisam who is ranked 122 in the doubles of ATP list.

The tournament carries a prize money of US$400,000.
