QUETTA, Sept 22: Local leaders of the ruling PML on Saturday resigned from the party and announced joining the PPP Parliamentarians.
They said the ruling party’s failure to resolve the unprecedented price hike and lawlessness in the province were the main reasons for abandoning the party.
Addressing a news conference at the press club, Sardar Khuda Rahim Notezai, Haji Malang Shah and Haji Gul Durani of Dalbandin tehsil of Chagai district said the PPP led by Benazir Bhutto was the only party that could steer the nation out of the crisis.
They said the PML government in the centre and Balochistan during the last five years had failed to overcome the rising prices of essential commodity that had badly affected the common people.
They said unemployment and a growing sense of insecurity among people were also major problems but the government did not take measures to improve the situation.
PPP’s deputy provincial secretary Syed Sadaullah Shah and Quetta district president Mir Madad Jatak welcomed the PML leaders in the party and hoped that the PPP would come up to the expectation of people to resolve the issues faced by the country.
