KARACHI, Sept 21: Five ships carrying containers and steel scrap are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Saturday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was active where six ships, Aqua Star to load cement, Calvin P Titus, Bunga Kenari to unload and load containers, Formosa Product Alpine, Stolt Violet and Stolt Ami to unload chemical and tallow were berthed after the departure of five.

The ships, which departed included Y.M. Moon, Adriatic Arrow, Lalazar and Santos-C, while Bunga Kenari, Hyundai Sprinter, Corin Thaikos, Stolt Ami, Calvin P. Titus, Aqua Star, Navios Hoas and Stolt Violet are due to sail out on Saturday.

A total tonnage of 75,499 tons comprising 22,969 tons of export tonnage and 52,530 tons of import cargo was handled on Friday.

The following ships are due on Saturday: Soon Fu, Iran Tabatabaei and Oel Shreyas with containers and Thor Jupiter with steel scrap.
