KARACHI, Sept 19: Four ships carrying containers, edible oil and diesel oil were accommodated berths during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, two more ships with containers and furnace oil also arrived at the outer anchorage.

Ten ships, Brianna, Nedloyd America, Norfolk Express, Arbalist, Eleoussa, Bow Viking, Young Tong Hai, Warbah, Formosa Product Brick and Carola, were busy in loading and unloading containers, cement, coal, rapeseeds, furnace oil, diesel and coke.

A record volume of 111,020 tons comprising 104,662 tons of import and 6,358 tons of export tonnage was handled.

Brianna, Maersk Iowa and Formosa Product Brick left the port.
