KARACHI, Sept 18: Former world number two Saleh Mohammad regained top position after one year having won the Latif Masters snooker championship earlier this month.

According to the latest national rankings gathered from the Pakistan Billiards and Snooker Association (PBSA) on Tuesday, Saleh jumped to the top from his previous fourth slot.

Imran Shehzad, who went down to Saleh in the Latif Masters final, made a significant leap and jumped three places up to second position.

By enjoying the two top slots, Saleh and Imran have qualified to represent Pakistan in the World snooker championship which will be held in Thailand in November.

Former World Champion Mohammad Yousuf slipped to third place from the top after poor showing in the last event of the PBSA calendar.
