ISLAMABAD, Sept 18: The owners of steel fabricators and auto workshops have demanded of the Capital Development Authority to provide basic facilities at the site of new factories and auto workshop.
Opposing any operation by the Capital Development Authority (CDA), they said unless basic facilities were provided, CDA could not carry out any operation.
General Secretary of Auto Workshop Association, Musharraf Janjua while talking to Online said that the CDA allotted to them 337 plots of 25x40 feet.
He said that despite passage of 10 long years, CDA did not provide basic facilities of electricity, gas to the plots allotted to them in Sector I-10/3 and I-11, in fact cancelled 50 plots due to non-payment of instalments. Without the provision of basic infrastructure, allotment cannot be cancelled according to the law, he added.
The Chairman Auto Workshop Association further said that besides the directives of the CDA Chairman, Kamran Lashari, the traders whose plots were cancelled facing difficulties in getting their plots back.
President of Steel Fabricators Association Islamabad, Aslam Sagar said the work cannot be started without the provision of electricity and Sui Gas, adding that demand notices have been issued by Iesco but because of lack of interest on part of the CDA, electricity connections have not been provided to Sector I-10/3.—Online
