KARACHI: Ibad’s help in executing LEW work sought

KARACHI, Sept 18: Federal Minister for Communication Shamim Ahmed Siddiqui on Tuesday called on Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ibad and discussed with him a strategy to get some localities of Mianwali Colony, Hassan Auliya Village and Liaquatabad vacated in order make the way for the Lyari Expressway.

Mr Siddiqui also requested Dr Ibad to take action against certain miscreants who were creating hurdles in the execution of development projects in the metropolis.

He discussed with the governor problems being faced by the authorities concerned in clearing certain localities at the “north-bound right of way” section of the Lyari Expressway.

“Each of the families evicted on account of the LEW project site has already been allotted an alternative residential plot,” Mr Siddiqui noted.—PPI
