Soldier hurt in hand-grenade attack

QUETTA, Sept 17: Some unidentified men threw a hand-grenade on a patrol party of security forces, seriously injuring a soldier in the Mangochar area near Mastung late Monday night, police sources said.

The injured soldier was taken to a Kalat hospital and till the filing of this report arrangements were being made to shift him to Quetta because of the seriousness of his injury.

In a separate late-night development in Sui area of the Dera Bugti district, some militants, allegedly belonging to the Bugti tribe, severely beat personnel of Levies, who were on a patrol duty in the area on Monday.They also snatched their weapons and fled.

KALAT ATTACK: A man and a woman were injured as a hand-grenade was thrown at the house of a police head constable in Kalat on Monday night.
