TAXILA, Sept 17: A man killed his brother and sister-in-law over a land dispute in Pind Malloh Dehri village of Hassanabdal on Sunday.

Police said Abdul Razzaq was in dispute with his brother Arif over a 11-marla plot. On Sunday, when Arif and his wife Shahmeen were working in the fields, Razzaq came there along with his son Qaiser and opened fire on the couple with a 30-bore pistol killing them on the spot.

The accused fled after committing the crime. The bodies were handed over to the family after an autopsy at the tehsil headquarters hospital Hassanabdal.

MISUSE OF LOUDSPEAKERS: The district administration has directed all the subdivisional police officers and mosque committees to restrict utilisation of loudspeakers only to prayer calls and Friday sermons.
