LANDI KOTAL (Khyber Agency), Sept 16: An angry man shot his son dead in Landi Kotal minutes before Iftar on Saturday.

Family sources said the deceased Mohammad Ali of Sheikhmal Khel, was not on good terms with his brothers and had reportedly quarrelled with them before the incident.

Mohammad Ali had reportedly pulled a pistol at his brothers, which infuriated his father Arbab Khan who snatched the pistol from him and shot him, injuring him seriously.

Bomb defused: The driver of an oil tanker foiled an attempt to blow up his vehicle here on Saturday night.

Sources said that driver Mohammad Shah parked his vehicle at road side after detecting a technical fault in the engine.
