ISLAMABAD, Sept 15: Apropos a news item which appeared in Saturday’s Dawn titled ‘Sale of profitable PIA hotel in New York opposed’, Senator Syed Dilawar Abbas has clarified that he had not opposed the sale of Roosevelt Hotel, but had rather said “that in corporate world there is no such thing as family silver as stated by one or two colleagues of mine in the meeting”.
Meanwhile, the Privatisation Commission has said that no decision has yet been taken for the sale of the hotel as the financial advisers appointed for the purpose will determine whether the sale is feasible.—Staff Reporter
