SHIKARPUR, Sept 15: The Transport Owners Association’s divisional president, Hadi Bux Mahar 65, of village Khahi Garhi Yasin and his wagon cleaner, Abdul Rasheed Lashari 30, were shot dead by a group of armed men after they were disembarked from a wagon on Shikarpur-Garhi Yasin road near Yaseen Wah police picket on Saturday morning.

Carrying passengers from Garhi Yasin for Sukkur, Hadi Bux was driving the vehicle when the attackers intercepted the wagon and opened fire at him after he was asked to disembark.The cleaner Abdul Rasheed Lashari was also gunned down by the attackers when he offered resistance.

The motive behind the incident is said to be ongoing Mahar-Jatoi tribal dispute.

No FIR was registered till the filing of this report.
