NAUSHAHRO FEROZE, Sept 14: Teachers are compelling students to pay Rs20 for books of primary classes which are to be distributed free on behalf of the government.
Parents of the students of the Govt Primary School Wada Dangraj, including Shoukat and others told reporters that teachers were pressuring the students to pay Rs20 each against the books distributed by the government.
The parents complained that teachers attend the school for only two hours.
They said that the influential people of the village use the school as cattle farm.
When contacted the assistant district officer, Mr Channar, said that supervisor education Aurangzeb was appointed to probe into matter.
The headmaster of the school said that he was not aware of charging money against the books.
Rally: The members of the Scarp Employees Union, All parties alliance, Sufi Shah Inayat Shaheed Welfare and Sindhi Adabi Sangat took out a rally from Scarp office here on Friday against closing the Scarp division.
The protesters, led by Khadim Hussain Mari, Gul Moro, Yousuf Mangi, Aijaz Almani blindfolded themselves, were carrying candles in their hands took out rally.
Speaking on the occasion, they alleged that the rulers were determined to deprive Sindh of clean water.
They said it was a conspiracy to close the Scarp division and take away the tube-wells because 1,600,000 acres of agriculture land would remain uncultivated.
