KARACHI : Transporters threaten strike

KARACHI, Sept 14: The Karachi Goods Carrier’s Association (KGCA) on Friday expressed its concern over the growing incidents of robberies and kidnappings on highways and warned the government of a strike after Eid if security was not provided to them with immediate effect.

This was decided at a meeting presided over by KGCA president Mohammad Khalid Khan.

The transporters said that the Sindh government had completely failed to provide security on highways, Northern Bypass and other link roads and urged the government to resolve this issue at the earliest.—PPI
