Pakistan’s Nur Ali wins in Texas Speedway

Karachi, Sept 11: Nur Ali, Pakistan’s only licensed international race car driver notched up two back-to-back wins at the Texas Motor Speedway 2.4 mile road circuit last Saturday and Sunday.

The heat was scorching in Fort Worth, Texas but not as hot as Nur Ali’s blazing performance as he drove to two consecutive victories on Saturday and Sunday.

The weekend started on a good note on Saturday when Nur Ali easily triumphed over all the other drivers in his division in the morning’s qualifying session.

Lining up in the pole position on the racing grid, Nur Ali was primed to perform for his crowd. As the green flag fell, Nur made a flying start and never looked back. Only one other driver challenged Nur Ali for the first position and he was dispatched handily by Nur’s fancy driving.

The following day, Sunday, Nur once again easily took the pole position during the early qualifying session. As race time rolled around, Nur charged to the forefront and drove his red #42 Tara Energy sponsored Formula Mazda racing car to his second victory of the weekend.

“I would like to dedicate my two victories to Pakistan, my home country where I was born and raised as a child,” he said.
