KARACHI: Loans for students

KARACHI, Sept 11: Interest-free loans to the tune of Rs109.94 million have been made available to deserving students under a special scheme.

A meeting of a committee in this respect was held here with Deputy Governor of the State Bank of Pakistan Mansoor-ur-Rehman Khan in the chair.

It approved educational loans amounting to Rs109.94 million to 1,163 deserving students all over the country during the financial year 2006-07 for graduation, masters and PhD programmes.—APP
