Flour a rare commodity

By Our Correspondent

SIALKOT, Sept 10: Pre-Ramzan price hike is telling on people’s nerves.

Low-income families are finding it hard to have two meals a day. Hoarders have created shortage of flour in some parts of the district where retailers are selling the commodity at a rate of Rs16 a kg against the fixed rate of Rs13.

Sialkot DCO Atta Muhammad Khan says the district administration is making sincere efforts to control prices. He says the administration has established Ramazan and Sasta bazaars in Sialkot, Daska, Sambrial and Pasrur tehsils.
