ISLAMABAD, Sept 9: The city circle police during a campaign against anti-social elements arrested 36 persons and recovered cash, stolen vehicles, illegal weapons and narcotics from their possession.

The Tarnol police arrested 22 persons and recovered four kg charas, 725 grams of heroin, 35 bottles of liquor, 15kg poppy, 10 30-bore pistols, six rifles, a carbine, a dagger, 148 rounds, 15 magazines, three vehicles and Rs258,000 cash.

The police also arrested a proclaimed offender and a deserter from the army.

The Golra police arrested 14 persons and recovered one kg charas, 48 bottles of liquor, two pistols, two rifles, 69 rounds, four cellphones and Rs100,000 cash.

Two proclaimed offenders and three persons involved in a kidnapping for ransom case were also arrested.

Meanwhile, the Shalimar police arrested 26 persons including seven women during a raid at a guest house in sector G-11/3.

The police said the guest house was being used for immoral activities.
