Poisonous fruit kills two sisters

OKARA, Sept 8: Two minor sisters died and five members of their family were hospitalised after eating fruits sprayed with pesticides during work at fields. The family of Haji of 42/D village of Deepalpur was working in fields. During work, some family members felt hungry and ate fruits on which pesticides had been sprayed. As a result, Nasreen (40), her sons Amir (12), Sabir (7), Sajid (6) and daughters Sonia (8), Sobia (10) and Fazeelat (3) fell unconscious. They were taken to the district hospital, where Sobia and Fazeelat died and other family members were critical.
