KARACHI : Major power breakdown

By Our Reporter

KARACHI, Sept 8: The city on Saturday experienced a major power breakdown as the utility fell short of 300MW and resorted to load-shedding for more than three hours since 6am.

A unit of Bin Qasim and two units of the KTPS went out of order and the impact of the outage on the transmission line also neutralised KANUPP.

The KESC however, failed to rectify the faults. Residents of many areas complained that power supply to their localities remained suspended for a span of more than five hours at least twice a day.
