At a meeting of TUSDEC board of directors here to review progress on various projects, Managing Director Suhael Ahmed said common facility centres would be set up to equip the electronics industry with the technology for necessary technical thrust. He said the TUSDEC Research and Development Department had developed a sequin device, which would create a meaningful impact on the garment industry.

The meeting praised enrolment of 300 students at the technical training centre in Batagram and registration of 250 students at centres in Quetta, Lahore and Sialkot.
