NAWABSHAH, Sept 5: The Quaid-i-Awam University of Engineering, Science and Technology on Wednesday rejected the claim made by the university’s teachers association in its general body meeting on Aug 23 that the university had allotted a bungalow to the Rangers.

The university’s director of Students Affairs and coordinator of law enforcing agencies, Manzoor Ahmed Panhwar, said in a statement that the allegation levelled by Teachers Association of the Quaid-i-Awam University of Engineering, Science and Technology was based on false information.

But the association’s president, Liaqat Tunio, stuck to his guns and stressed that the university had given the bungalow in the university’s residential area to Rangers personel but afterwards got it vacated soon after teachers’ protests following the association’s general body meeting.
