PML-N to defy all pressures: Khosa

OKARA, Sept 4: Sardar Zulfiqar Khosa, who heads the PML-N provincial set-up, avers Mian Nawaz Sharif will land in Islamabad on Sept 10 come what may.

Speaking to journalists before attending the reception arranged in his honour by PML-N district president Mian Muhammad Zaman, he condemned the arrests of scores of party activists, including provincial secretary-general Raja Ashfaq Sarwar, saying they had filed a writ petition in the Lahore High Court against the action.

He pledged that the workers would defy all pressures to give a warm welcome to the “supreme leader”.

Answering a question, he said Benazir Bhutto was responsible for the elimination of the ARD as she was in contact with a dictator.

PROTEST: Hundreds of villagers took out a rally to protest against the frequent absence of the medical officer of Baman Bala basic health unit.

The protesters also accused the doctor of issuing fake medico-legal certificates after receiving money, demanding that the district administration should take notice of the situation.
