KOHAT, Sept 4: Unidentified men took away 61 tolas of gold, prize bonds worth Rs30,000 and Rs100,000 cash from a house in the Defence Colony, the affected family said.

The cantonment police have not registered a case.

But, officials posted on the check post concerned have confirmed the dacoity. They told this correspondent that on Monday some members of the affected family had come to lodge an FIR but when police asked some questions, they went, saying that they would lodge the report after consulting their elders.
