Anti-smoking campaign launched

ISLAMABAD, Sept 2: A two-week long anti-smoking campaign has been launched in the capital to highlight the importance of the prohibition of smoking, especially in enclosed places like public transportation, to protect non-smokers and enforce the Health Ordinance 2002. The Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) and a non-governmental organization jointly launched the campaign against smoking in public transportation.

During these two weeks, officials of the Islamabad Traffic Police and the NGO (The Network) will distribute pamphlets, brochures and paste stickers inside public busses and wagons to create awareness against the use of tobacco in any form.—APP
