Emergency cardiac centre

KARACHI, Sept 2: The Sindh Minister for Planning and Development, Syed Shoaib Ahmed Bukhari, laid the foundation stone of a 50-bed emergency cardiac centre and inaugurated a dental until in Shah Faisal Colony on Saturday.

Speaking on the occasion, he ordered completion of the emergency centre, costing Rs181 million, in 18 months instead of the stipulated three years.

He called for inviting tenders from international companies for procurement of hospital machinery and equipment.

The minister said that an institute of heart diseases and a technical degree college would also be inaugurated in Landhi soon.

MPAs Abbas Jaffery, Nishat Mohammed Zia, EDO (health), UC nazims, naib nazims, councillors of Shah Faisal Town and a large number of area residents attended the ceremony.—APP
