Quetta, Sept 1: Governor Owais Ahmed Ghani has said that investment of foreign companies in Balochistan proves that it is the most stable province of the country. It is guardedly moving forward on the road to progress, he says.

Speaking to some management trainees who were on a study tour of the province, the governor said due to the effective policies of the provincial government foreign companies had begun investing in the minerals, oil and gas, fisheries and other sectors of the province.

“The present government is giving incentives and other facilities to foreign companies for investment in Balochistan,” Mr Ghani remarked, adding that speedy development in the sectors would herald the dawn of a new era.

The governor said people of the middle class were becoming prosperous and politically more aware as well. “Balochistan is passing through the period in which it is being transformed from a tribal society into a developed one.” Nobody could stop this process, he added.
