COLOMBO: Dyson to apply for India’s job

COLOMBO, Aug 30: Former Aussie player and ex-Sri Lanka coach John Dyson confirmed from Sydney on Thursday that he is applying for post of India’s coach that was advertised last Tuesday.

The 53-year-old Dyson, a former Test and One-day International batsman, expressed interest in the post as far back as June 28 but the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) was not in a hurry to make an appointment.—Agencies
