Govt invites petroleum dealers for talks

ISLAMABAD, Aug 30: In response to a strike call given by the All Pakistan Petroleum Dealers Association for Aug 31, a spokesman for the petroleum ministry said on Thursday that the government had not altered the profit margin for dealers, who continue to get 4 per cent in accordance with a notification of Ogra.

The ministry has invited association’s president Abdul Sami Khan to hold dialogue with the representatives of Ogra on the issue.

The spokesman said that the oil marketing companies had assured the government to keep petrol stations functional.—APP
