LAHORE, Aug 29: Some 40 junior probables will attend the national training camp at the Hockey Club of Pakistan, Karachi, from Sept 20. The probables were selected on the basis of their performance at the recently concluded national juniors’ championship, held at Faisalabad.

The camp is being set up to select a team to play in the six-nation hockey tournament to be held in Singapore from Oct 17 to 21. Besides Pakistan, the other countries participating in the event are Australia, Malaysia, India and hosts Singapore.

The players are directed to report to Camp Commandant Jehangir Butt on Sept 19.

Goalkeepers: Imran Butt (PIA), Khurram Majeed, Waqas Liaqat (Punjab-C), Arif (Balochistan).

Full-backs: Atiq (NBP), Imran Abbas (PIA), Rana Akmal (Punjab), Adnan Javed (PIA), Zulfiqar (Railways), M. Khalid (Police), Ejaz (NWFP).
