Ujala claims sailing gold in Canada
KARACHI, Aug 27: Pakistan’s Ujala Mir Masood won laser 4.7 class gold medal at the CORK International regatta in Kingston, Canada, according to a message received here on Monday.
The event was organised by the Canadian Yachting Association.
Ujala collected 22 penalty points in 13 races that sailed over five days.
Catherine Shanahan of the US claimed second position with 24 penalty points whereas her compatriot Ian Ikeda finished third with 30 penalty points.
Prior to this event, Ujala also took part in the CORK Youth Fest regatta at the Ontario lake in Kingston and won the silver medal.—APP
