LAHORE, Aug 27: Punjab Power Minister Chaudhry Armghan Subhani says the consumption of electricity has surged due to a rapid growth of industry and construction of dams is vital to meet the increasing demand of energy. He was talking to a three-member delegation of investors interested in hydel power projects at his office here on Monday.
Mr Subhani said if the energy sector was left unattended, the process of economic development could hinder. He said the government was taking measures to balance the demand and supply factor of energy.—APP
