KARACHI, Aug 26: The reserve goalkeeper Nasir Ahmad will not be able to accompany the Pakistan hockey squad to Chennai on Sunday night as his passport has not been received from the Indian High Commission in Islamabad.
“Nasir’s passport was not received with the rest of the team members and he will not be able to travel to India but will join the team later,” manager-cum-chief-coach Islahuddin Siddiqui said on Sunday.
Besides Nasir, umpire Kamran Sharif and judge Rasheed Butt’s departure has also been delayed because their passports are also still with the Indian High Commission.—Agencies
