SIALKOT, Aug 26: General Pervez Musharraf is acceptable to the Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal (MMA) neither in uniform nor without uniform.

MMA central leader Liaquat Baloch said this while addressing to participants of the “Tahafuz-i-Pakistan Road Caravan” at Allama Iqbal Chowk here on Sunday.

The MMA leader said that the All Parties Democratic Movement (APDM) would ensure the dignity of the nation by ridding the people of a dictator.

He said the APDM had demanded of President Musharraf to quit the office and hold general elections under the supervision of the Senate chairman by making him an acting president.

Earlier, the party workers in Gujrat, Wazirabad, Sambrial, Uggoki, Sialkot, Pasrur and Narowal accorded the road caravan a warm welcome.

Heavy police contingents and personnel of law enforcement agencies were deputed along the route of the road caravan to avert any untoward incident.
