Rail traffic disrupted again

By Our Staff Correspondent

QUETTA, Aug 25: Rail traffic between Quetta and other parts of the country remained disrupted for several hours after a railway track was blown up near the Kolpur area on Saturday.

It was second such incident since Friday night.

No Quetta-bound trains could arrive on time while departures of outward-bound trains were also delayed.

The railway tracks, damaged in an explosion the night before in the in Sariab area, were replaced and rail link between Quetta and rest of the country was restored on Saturday morning. The rail link was again severed after militants blew up railway tracks again near Kolpur, about 45kms from here, at around 10am.

However, the damaged portion of the main track was repaired and rail traffic was restored after two hours.
