By Our Correspondent

ATTOCK, Aug 25: District Police Officer (DPO) Inayatullah Farooqui has punished seven more police officials on charges of misconduct besides awarding appreciation certificates to four for arresting court absconders.

In a press note issued here Saturday, the DPO censured Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Sajjad Shah of the Attock city police station and ordered stoppage of his two increments.

One-year increment of ASIs Abdul Qayyum of Attock Saddar police station and Nazar of Fatehjang police station had also been stopped for showing negligence in investigations.

SI Nawab Khan of the Basal police station has been censured for failing to arrest the accused persons involved in a case.

Constable Shakeel Ahmed has been dismissed from service for remaining absent from duty for three months besides issuing warnings to constables Muhammad Basharat of the Bhatar police station and Akbar Khan of the district police lines for showing leniency in performing their duties.

The DPO awarded 3rd class certificates to ASI Kashif and three other constables of the Fatehjang police station for arresting two court absconders Ghulam Abbas and Bahadur Shah.

Meanwhile DPO directed the SHOs of all 13 police stations of the district to improve their performance and meet the target, which had been given to them for the arrest of proclaimed offenders, court absconders and other wanted criminals, otherwise strict action would take against them.
