KHAIRPUR, Aug 25: Traders of Pir Jo Goth kept their businesses closed to mourn the death of Faqir Abdullah Mangrio, chief khalifa of Pir Saheb Pagaro, who died on Saturday morning in a hospital in Karachi. He was 85.

Mr Mangrio who served as chief khalifa to Pir Saheb Pagaro for 20 years had been seriously ill and bed-ridden for a long time.

A large number of devotees of Dargah Rashdiya of Pir Jo Goth have started arriving in late Mangrio’s native village, Faqir Mohammad Amin Mangrio, near Chhore from different parts of the province to attend his funeral.

PROCESSION: The growers whose lands lie at the tail-end of Khuhra minor staged a procession and a demonstration on Gambat-Sobhodero link road on Saturday in protest against shortage of water.
