Two injured; rail traffic suspended

QUETTA, Aug 24: Two children were injured in two explosions here and the rail link between Quetta and rest of the country was disrupted when a portion of the main railway track was blown up in the Sariab area on Friday night.

Police sources said some people hurled a grenade into the house of Imran Rajput on the Sariab Road. A daughter of Mr Imran was injured in the explosion.

A boy was injured in the blast in Killi Khezi on the outskirts of the city.

Explosive devices were planted at two places on the railway track between Quetta and Sariab railway stations, which went off at 9.30pm, police said.

A portion of the railway track was damaged in the blast, the DIGP (operation) said.
