ISLAMABAD, Aug 24: Attock Gen. Limited (AGL) and the Private Power and Infrastructure Board (PPIB) on Friday signed implementation agreement for setting up 165MW project.

AGL chief executive Adil Khattak and PPIB managing director Muhammad Yousuf Memon signed the agreement.

An announcement issued here said the power plant would be set up with an estimated cost of $113 million at Morgah, Rawalpindi and would start supplying power to the national grid by August 2008.

The power plant would use indigenous low sulphur fuel oil.

The sponsors of the project are Attock Refinery Ltd. and Attock Oil Company, UK.
