MUZAFFARABAD, Aug 22: Two people were killed and two others were injured in an armed clash between two groups in the southern Kotli district of Azad Kashmir on Wednesday evening.

A police official told this correspondent that the clash occurred between Rajput and Chaudhry tribes in Sarsawa allegedly over the ownership of a piece of land where the former were building some shops.

The Chaudhrys, he said, resorted to firing as a result of which two people from the opposite group identified as Daud Iqbal, son of Mohammad Iqbal, and Idrees, son of Siddique, died on the spot.—Staff Correspondent
