Training of tax officials

ISLAMABAD, Aug 22: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has decided to train its senior officers on various tax related issues as part of the World Bank funded reforms of tax administration project.

An official announcement of the FBR said that in this regard the firs training workshop for grade 20 and 21 officers of the tax administration will commence from Thursday. The training will be conducted by LUMS, Lahore.

The workshop module deals with identification of major strategic issues and concern faced by the FBR and recommendations on how to approach these strategic perspectives.

Besides dealing with the existing Pakistani structure and major processes of Pakistan economy including industrialization processes and current investment trends, the training workshop also focuses on the analysis of emergence of new globalised economy and its potential effect on revenue generation.
