CHITRAL: Musharraf termed security risk

By Our Correspondent

CHITRAL, Aug 21: NWFP Jamaat-i-Islami secretary-general MNA Shabbir Ahmed Khan has said that the political parties needed to unite to cope with military dictatorship, which was the biggest challenge facing the country, and the formation of the All Parties’ Democratic Movement (APDM) was the cornerstone in this regard.

The MNA said at a press conference here on Tuesday that President Gen Pervez Musharraf had become a security risk for the country as he was bent upon fulfilling the agenda of President George Bush of the United States.

He claimed that Gen Musharraf was ready to go to any extent to please the US and armymen were coming under attacks in the country as a result of his policies.

He said that the APDM would organise the masses against the military dictatorship to ensure restoration of true democracy.

He said preparations were in full swing for the APDM rally Jinnah Park in Peshawar.
