FAISALABAD, Aug 19: The Pakistan Amateur Handball Federation (PAHF) has chalked out a comprehensive strategy for various international events in the future.
This was disclosed by Syed Mohammad Abid Qadri, president, PAHF while talking to reporters after chairing the executive body meeting of the federation here on Saturday evening. Pakistan, according to him, would be hosting the South Asian Handball Championship and our team was also looking forward to participate in the World Beach Handball Championship to be held in Spain next July. PAHF’s executive body also wants to enter the team in only those international events in which Pakistan expects to win medals.
Elaborating, Qadri said that the Sindh Handball Association would organise the National Handball Championship at Hyderabad in December this year.
Similarly, the Punjab Handball Association would be organising the National Club Championship and the National Women’s Championship at Faisalabad in February, 2008.
Qadri said that the National Youth Handball Championship would be played in June next year, either at Karachi, Islamabad or Faisalabad.—APP
