KARACHI, Aug 19: Favourite filly Fantastic Baby maintained her winning streak when she galloped to a seven-length victory to land the feature event as outsiders swept the other six races in the Gymkhana race meeting at the Karachi Racecourse on Sunday.

Running like a champion under rider Ghulam Shabbir II, she outpaced colt Moon Raker with ease to make it five-in-a-row. Dragon Heart finished three-and-a-half lengths behind to seize third place while Jack In The Box completed the frame, finishing further nine lengths away.

The bookies had a field day as six favourites had to bite the dust on a day of upsets.

Jockey Zaki Zakir piloted colt Khyber to a magnificent victory to pick up the opener after Inside Story was withdrawn. Five-year-old bay Lucky Friend, who was installed as the favourite, settled for third while debutant Back In Business completed the board.

Four-year-old bay colt Shah Sawar, who has shown consistent form in the recent past, created quite a stir beating favourite Fascinate by neck in a close finish. They were followed by Royal Loyalty and Fantastic Horse for the places.

Chestnut Field Commander posted a facile three lengths victory over another favourite Little Girl to grab the fourth race.

Mare Fasten Your Seat Belt, who was beaten by outsider Gorella on the Independence Day, atoned to the loss edging Reyan The Great by one-and-a-half lengths. Favourite With Interest had to be content with third place.

Three-year-old bay filly Green Rose claimed her maiden victory when she toppled Lucky Step Junior.

In a late burst, four-year-old dark bay filly Janu Love Inshu overtook Mr Mention Not to win the concluding event. She was smartly ridden home by veteran rider M. Khizer.
