Trader chops down trees in park

NAUSHAHRO FEROZE, Aug 19: Two trees were chopped down in the only public park of the town adjacent to District Court and Civil Hospital here on Sunday.

Reports said that the owner of a petrol and diesel agency who has an outlet in the District Council building, chopped the trees.

When asked by shopkeepers of the area, he said he had permission from the Taluka Municipal Officer (TMO).

The TMO, Faqir Gul Hassan Kandhoro, however denied to have issued any such permission.

Meanwhile, journalists and Naib Nazim of UC Naushahro Feroze, Abdul Qadeer and Mazhar Khaskheli reached the spot, informed the TMO and police.

He said he along with Naib Nazim of UC Naushahro Feroze, Dr Abdul Qadeer, Mazhar Khaskheli and the journalists went to the police station and informed them of the illegality.
