KARACHI: Institute for gardeners on the cards

KARACHI, Aug 19: The Sindh Health Minister, Syed Sardar Ahmed, on Sunday formally launched a tree plantation drive at Hill Park.

Speaking on the occasion, he said that the present government was taking steps to improve the environment of the metropolis.

An institute to train gardeners was also on the cards, the minister said, adding that he would soon contact the relevant authorities in this regard.

He said that the TMOs and nazims of all the towns had been directed to make the tree plantation campaign successful in their respective areas. The minister asked journalists to play their due role in raising awareness of tree plantation. — PPI
