KARACHI, Aug 18: Spinner Abdul Rasheed grabbed an eight-wicket haul as the match between Zone-VII Whites and Zone-V Blues ended in a dramatic tie in the KCCA Inter-zonal Under-15 Cricket Championship at the Landhi Gymkhana Ground on Friday.
Zone-VII Whites, batting first, were bowled out for 132 in the 44th over. Their total included an incredible 43 wides. Adil Shahzad made 33. Off-spinner Shoaib Khan captured five for 55.
Zone-V Blues, in reply, were spun out for 132 in the 40th over with off-spinner Abdul Rasheed returning splendid figures of 14.5-5-25-8. Rameez Rafiq scored 50 with five fours.
At the Student Ground, Zone-I Whites whipped Zone-VII Greens by 10 wickets in the shortest match of the day.
Zone-VII Greens were bundled out for 76 with paceman Wahid Ali claiming five for 14.
Zone-I Whites then romped home without any loss, scoring 77-0 in just 6.3 overs.
In the other match of the day, Zone-II Whites overwhelmed Zone-VI Blues by 101 runs.
Habib-ur-Rehman snapped-up five wickets for 52 runs to play role in his team’s triumph.
