KARACHI, Aug 18: Three-year-old bay filly Fantastic Baby and five-year-old bay Jack In The Box are the two form horses who will vie for honours in the feature event of the Gymkhana race meeting at the Karachi Racecourse on Sunday.

The former, who enjoys an excellent record of four wins on trot, may stretch her winning run while the latter should have to produce its best to outpace the opponent.

This will be the second race on the card in which seven contestants barring last minute withdrawls will face the starter.

Four-year-old bay colt Khyber looked poised to make amends by picking up spoils in the opener. He was edged by Voo Doo Doll in the previous run last month.

His likely challengers are filly Lady Conqueror and chestnut Sharp Cat.

If allowed to run on merit, five-year-old bay Fascinate should dominate the third race which has 13 aspirants in fray.

He should be chased by mare Meri Paidagiree and dark bay Qandhar for the places.

Three-year-old chestnut colt Mr Mention Not, whose winning streak was interrupted by Sugar Sweet in the Sanghar Cup on Independence Day, should atone to the loss by claiming top division race of class VII.

However, if tried, colt Quince from the stable of Shah Mardan Shah Pir Pagara has the ability to upset the race.

Rebecca and Janu Love Inshu should also finish on the board.

Make Millions who was stunned by Rokara in the last outing should overcome the field in div II of class VII. The horse to be watched is colt Houdini who can do the trick if on the job.

Mare Silent Love and colt With Interest should prove their ability to land their respective races.

A card of seven races has been chalked out for the day and the proceeding begins at 1.30pm.
